Present Continuous (Progressive)

We use it when the subject is in middle of an action.

Also we can use it to show future conformed and arrange action.

It talks about present to future progressive action.

We use it for changing and developing

It is used for temporary situation

Construction: subject + IS/AM/ARE + Verb 1^st form + ing + object

• I have good knife and fork.

• We are celebrating party.

• I am buying this cell phone.

• We are staying with Karachi.

• We are getting work.

Condition =1

Construction: subject + IS/AM/ARE + Verb 1^st form + ing + object 

• I want to see Mr. Asif. I am afraid. he is attending meeting.

•  Look! He is riding a bike fast.

• Where is your brother? My brother is playing at the ground.

• He is balling now.

• Shan is not coming late.

• Is Shan coming today?

• He is playing goose berry.

• She keeps on meddle my affairs.

Condition=2

Construction: subject + IS/AM/ARE + Verb 1^st form + ing + object 

• He is going to America tomorrow.

• We are taking rest next week.

• Amir is buying a car on Thursday.

• They are not coming tomorrow.

• Are they coming tomorrow?

Time schedule:

• Aircraft arrives at 10.

• Aircraft is arriving at 10.

• The Doctor checks the patient at 8p.m.

• The doctor is coming the clinic at 6p.m.

Keep on = carry on (Same Meaning)

• You keep on coming late

• You carry on coming late.

• He is studying here for a week.

• We are playing here for two hours.

• Ahmed is driving a car for half an hour.

• He is sleeping for twenty minutes.

• Weather is getting pleasant.

• She is losing her weight.

• You are gaining weight.

• A child is cutting theef.

• They are polishing their skills.

• He speaks a lot that is why he eats the mumble pie.

• He is oldest person of this area, he knows his area. Every nook and cranny.
